The day HEP left us...alone...

The other day, I promised that I'm going to tell you how my day is at bilik NRIC and I made a promise to myself that I will focus myself 100% on my work as the treasurer. Well, I keep that promise, successfully made a call to every participating universities for NRIC and asked them about their payment method. And as usual, my day is hectic, errands here and there, mostly at the Treasury department, dealing with the money. And when I say hectic, it is real hectic, cause when we needed HEP officers, in particular Kak Win, she wasn't there. The real story???

It's unusual for me to wake up early, let alone stay up, but yes, I did stay up cause I can't sleep. So without wasting any of my time, I took my breakfast, shower and off I went to bilik gerakan with Naz (I've been hitching a ride on her motorcycle for the past few weeks). And without any further due, I make a call to every participating universities on the list, asking them about payment method (majority of them prefer L.O. over cheque, which means lots of work to be done). And then something happens: UMP wanted to enter, gosh!!! Why do they have to participate that late??? Although I do happy that they enter (I'm thinking from the money perspective), but at least make it like one week before the event, not like four or five days before. Beside, we already have the abstract books for printed by that time (which is reprinted later due to many mistakes), the booths being layout (which Ezzah said that JINACO have no problem with it). And when we wanted to seek Kak Win approval, she didn't answered any of our calls and returned any of our messages. So Naz call En. Nazru and the lady said he wasn't there either, as well as En. Mansur. So basically we are on our own to make the decision, hence we accepted it. And thanks God we do have the approval, although I don't know from whom.

So basically that's from Naz's work. My work: like I said, make a call to participa....blah...blah...blah. Okie, you know what I did. Owh wait, I have a letter arriving to me from UTeM dated 13th May. The content of the letter stated that USM received a cheque but it was never cash in. And the date of the cheque: July 2007!!! JULY 2007!!! And it was addressed to NRIC (they spelt it wrong, NIRC). I asked the treasurer in charge of the letter and she said that USM deliver a service or something to UTeM back in 2007, and they received the cheque. And after three years the cheque have never been cleared. So I was asking myself, does the 2007 NRIC treasurer did his/her job or not??? Wait, that cheque was dated July, which means that NRIC was not responsible for the cheque in question. However it was addressed to NRIC. Hmmm...still confused, but I'm going to ask the Treasury dept. if they did receive the cheque or not. Something fishy is going on.

Well, that's all...bye...
