|first day, first class|

The day has finally arrived, the day that I've been waiting for. Usually I'm dreadful when the semester is about to start but I have a really good feeling about this, considering that this is my last semester and I can't wait to finish it. How did it goes??? Tell you the story.

I've been thinking that my posts are too long so I decided to get straight to the point rather than creating a novel. Since LSP402 - Scientific and Medical English is not going to start classes until Jan 3, so my next class today is at 2.00 p.m., which is Linear & Integer Programming. But since I've been watching Gossip Girl Season 2 until 7.00 a.m., so I've decided to get some sleep first and then at 1.00 p.m., I'll get up and be ready for classes. But I woke up at almost 2.00 p.m., so in a hurry, I just brushed my teeth, considering that I already took my bath early in the morning. Hitch a ride to my class with my roomate (without helmet) and I was 7 minutes late, but fortunately the class was about to start. Review on the lecturer, Pn. Che Rohani Yaacob: she needs to be aware that her students including me are falling asleep at the sound of your little voice. You need to project your voice a little futher so that the whole class can hear you. Your class is not big enough, just a mere 20-30 students, but you make it like we were in a lecture, unable to hear your voice. And be more...hmmm...cheerful in the class, alright???

Next class: MSG356 - Mathematical Programming taught by Dr. Joshua Ignatius. If Dr. Teh Su Yean, my C++ lecturer is the definition of hotness of all the female lecturers in the School of Mathematical Sciences, then Dr. Joshua Ignatius is the definition of handsomeness of all the male lecturers in the said school. He decided to change the class from BT138, G03 to BT204, SoMS, and instead of 3 hours lecture and 1 hour tutorial, he decided to have 2 2-hours lecture and tutorial at the same time, 3-5 p.m. and that means my Friday are free. YESSSSSS!!! I love it!!! Thank you so much. Review on him: small handwriting, and I think he is the only lecturer who try to convince his students to drop his class, so that when he got 4 students left, the class is no longer available and he's free to do anything he wants. Lame excuse, and speaking of lame excuse, he asked me in the class, why the course is my second choice? I said that the previous course started at 8.00 a.m., and what a lame excuse that is. But luckily they buy it as a joke...hahhahaha.

Well, it's not that bad at all, and I think it's off to a good start, if only I sleep well.

|review: station one|

Imagine you paid RM 7.90 for a half cup of cappuccino, and another RM 15.50 for a meal that tastes like...almost tasteless??? Well folks, welcome to Station One, a cafe on the edge of Queensbay that is going down like hell in this my ever first review of the place where I eat, but instead of filling your belly with ambrosia rather than butterfly, it fills your pocket with butterflies. Such a waste of money, and your time there. Wanna know the story???

It was a boring Sunday, waiting for the time to pass, so I went to QB for a nice meal. Round and round I go, went to KFC, but the house is full, went to the restaurant below, but it's too crowded there, so I decided that I'm going to burn my pocket with a nice but expensive set of meal. Got to enjoy your life to the fullest right??? So I've decided on Station One, and there I was, ordering a nice cup of cappuccino and a grilled chicken chop rice. So I've waited and waited and when the cappuccino came, I am so excited but the moment my lips touched that cup, I knew this is not gonna be a nice meal after all. Proof:

After the foam is scooped out, and I drank like three spoonful of that shit...

There, do you see it??? They filled half of the cup with foam, and there you have it, a half cup of cappuccino that tastes nothing like a cappuccino at all. Seriously, it's bad, and I'm thinking Starbucks is even worth your money than this.

 

Next on the menu: grilled chicken chop rice, and do you notice that I didn't capitalize the first letter of that meal??? Yeah, 'cause I don't have every respect for this thing; the rice is horrible, it looks plain, but to be nice, the chicken is good, but not awesome. More surprises:

What's that in the circle??? Owh yeah, HAIR!!! Seriously, don't they have any sense of hygiene at all, or some kind of ethics when preparing the meal??? Thank goodness, it's not even armpit hair or worse, PUBIC!!! Now I'm going to puke...

I ordered another drink, hot chocolate, to wash all those horrible tastes from my taste bud, and well, it is nice. So how much it burned my pocket today???

RM 15.50 + RM 7.90 + RM 5.50 + service charges RM 2.89 (BULLSHIT!!!) = RM 31.80!!!

And I am so disappointed. Hope the manager read this, and if you do, don't forget to leave a comment, thank you. But to be fair, I had a great time today; physically the place is not bad after all:

The deco is nice, and I like the stage there, for bands to perform. Now I'm thinking The Echoes should play there. See the first picture there, a mural on the wall??? There's a quote that says:

"Stranger is just a friend that I haven't met"

which implies that it is a great social place to hang out, except that it's not really a place to hang out when the meal is...ughhh. But it's my first time there, so who knows maybe the second time I get there, maybe the meal is not so bad after all. Stars to give:

Today, the full result of last semester exam is out and on the air. Everybody was like talking and buzzing about it: some happy, some don't and others, well, it's better if they keep it to themselves. Me??? I couldn't be happier but before I spilled it out, let me tell you a story of mine that I have told a few.

Do you know that when some people got excited about something or nervous about it, or they think about it too much that the notion about that particular something evolved into a dream??? The same thing happened to me; that something is my RESULT, and that dream is my FULL RESULT. I was dreaming the other day, not sure what day it was, but I think it's 2 weeks or a week before the full result came out. And what I saw in that dream is not really a nightmare, but it's not a good dream either. I got:

Minor: A

Major: C and D.

I was shocked that I got a D, and I'm not happy, which is the reason why I was excited and I kept reminding everyone that the result is on 20th Dec, because I can't wait to see if that dream is true or not. And when the result came out, let's just say it did CAME CLOSE, but NOT CLOSE ENOUGH. So here is my full result:

MAT251 - Introduction to Operations Research: C

MSS302 - Real Analysis: C (the hardest subject so far, as it involved thinking CRITICALLY, while I'm better off suited to APPLIED thing)

CMM321 - System Analysis and Design: A- (thus confirming my choice of the course in USM is wrong, and I should change to Computer Science instead)

WSC227 - Pengurusan Acara II: A (given by Unit Sukan for my three years service to them)

Looking at my result above, and thinking back on that dream the other day, I was surprised and a bit shocked, especially on the part that I got at least a C right. It's like I can see into the future. Whoaaaaa, maybe I should open a divination business. Kidding, but that dream is not exactly a 100% right. In that dream I got an A in my minor, and it did came close in the real life - I got an A-, which is actually kinda good, and the part that I got a D, well, it did not even came close to it. And that dream never mentioned about Pengurusan Acara II, which surprisingly I got an A, even though I didn't sent that assignment (paperwork on Struktur Kejurulatihan, AND I HAVE NOT A SINGLE IDEA IN MY HEAD ON HOW TO DO IT!!!) they told me to. Well, at least it helped my pointer a bit. From 1.72 to 2.69, not bad, and the CGPA is 2.53. Gosh really need to study hard next sem.

Well, that's it for now, and I really, really wanted to do this since I first watched Gossip Girl last night:

Yup, folks, it's the first anniversary of my blog. 1st anniversary!!! Wuuuuhhhuuuuuuu!!! And I don't even know what to say in this post. Well, I just hope that you, my BLOGGY, will have more viewership than ever, despite your not so interesting 'face' (the plain template of the blog), and a lot of followers (the hope of every blogger) and a lot of comments (well, not so much, not to the point I cannot read them all). Anyway, I hope that my posts have so much quality in it, well, the one who's writing, me, have more quality ideas about what to write in this blog.

Hmmm, I don't know what else to write, guess I'm so sleepy at this moment.

Di atas merupakan SMS yang ku terima pada pkl 10:03 pagi kelmarin. Aku dapat je SMS ni, aku trus jerit LULUS smpi kawan sblh bilik aku trbangun...serius aku ckp. Yang menyahut 'seruan' aku pun ada gak...hahhahaa, yang ni sy kna minta maaf bebanyak kat budak2 IK tym tu, sbb kjutkan korg dari tdo...huhuhuuu. Mmg lega sangat lah dapat SMS ni, rasanya 20 sen yang USM caj tu pun rasa berbaloi sangat...hahahahaa. Tapi di kesempatan kita bergembira result kita smua pass, kena ingat jga dgn insan2 yang result dia tak okie sem ni. Apa2 pun aku ucapkan usaha lagi untuk insan2 tersebut, jgn jadikan result tersebut satu kegagalan, tapi sebaliknya satu butang pintu yang akan membawa korg untuk berusaha lebih gigih lagi. Orait...

Untuk hari ni pla, dipendekkan crita merupakan hari mendaftar kursus untuk sem 2, sidang akademik 10/11. Everything dah settle, tggl nak print slip lagi. Untuk sem kali ni, daftar 17 unit, tapi bla buat balik jadual untuk sem dpn, banyak kosong. Pack pun hari Isnin, especially 8.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m., but any other day, ada yg kosong pagi ngan petang, ada yang kosong pagi nya, Jumaat pla 1 kelas je!!! Kan best camtu...hahhahahaa. Tapi yg tu pun tak masuk lab ngan tutorial...haiisshhh. Kacau daun btul lah...

Dan aku jga tlah menghabiskan RM 12.00 untuk membaiki tayar blakang motor Ikin yang tiubnya bocor. Aduh, skrg ni mmg ckit duit lah...rasanya x smpi 5 ringgit pun dlm dompet. Adeehhh, lapar gila seh, tapi kena tahan gak, anggap je lah aku puasa hari ni. Huhuhuuuu...

NAK DUIT!!! PTPTN CPT2 LAH MASUK!!!
